Imaging computers and replacing toner cartridges were some of the responsibilities while working for this firm. Another Contract position was for a local banking firm to diagnose and repair laser printer problems. Including but not limited to diagnose and repair of defective input assemblies and fusing assemblies. Computer Technician skills included repairs of IBM Desktop and Laptop computer Systems. Also provided break fix service on Compaq server systems with tape backup issues. The customer base were medium sized companies located in the Greater Metro Detroit Area. October 2001 to May 2002 Permond Solutions Group – Customer Service Engineer, repairs of NCR and IBM Point of Sale (POS) terminals. Permond Solutions Group is a division of NCR. . The company Permond Solutions Group is located in Austin Texas, but all work was performed locally. Board level repairs and mechanical repairs were the norm here. Mechanical repairs were usually on cash drawers, while board repairs were on Credit/ Debit card readers, scanner systems, receipt printers, and the terminals themselves. Setup and configure registers for outdoor use during Christmas holiday shopping season and springtime. Installed and configured new terminals for use in restraunt’s and stores. The customer base were medium sized retail and restraunt stores in the Detroit and surrounding areas. Area coverage included sites in Taylor, Port Huron, Oakland county, Macomb county, and Lapeer. Training was provided at the Dayton Ohio NCR campus, with lodging and meals paid.

The manufacturers help desk handled diagnosis of the customer’s problems.
January 1996 – July 1997 Electrosonics – Computer Technician, Assemble, configure, and test IBM compatible PC’s; troubleshoot and repair of IBM, and clone machines with extensive customer contact. (IBM, Compaq, and other IBM clone systems.) Work was performed at store doing upgrades and help with sales. Customers were individuals and small business.
July 1991 to September 1995 Mid-West Instrument – CNC PROGRAMMER / OPERATOR. Setup programming and operating CNC machines. Involved with Programming on new product. This involved programming of the CNC machine, planning tool paths, and tool speed and feed calculations.
