Operations Manger, Staples
I am the Operations Manager of a newly opened, top performing Staples store in the Rivergate area. I trained in the Hendersonville location and I was on board to open this new location. I am responsible for 45 employees and their training and support, the front line and cash room areas. I am in charge of maintaining operations standards for all aspects in the store except electronics.
*While I am very happy with my current job the fear of cutbacks because of the economy have led me to be proactive and see what other jobs are available right now since there have been talks of lay-offs within my district.

While in this position I managed three retail locations for this company. I was responsible for supervising and developing a staff of up to 75 people and implementing and maintaining strict merchandising and visual standards. I was chosen to oversee problem stores in my district and put into practice new store standards as well as train and coach the existing staff. In one of the problem stores I was able to improve store shrink from 8% to .75%

My responsibilities included developing a P&L report for each store, buying product, merchandising product and hiring for each location as well. I developed productivity charts and job descriptions for both locations.

I exceeded store sales and shrink goals and earnings for three years. Under my management my store was the top store in shrink performance for two years. I positioned and completed a store for complete and total remodel. I was named Store Manager of the Month three times.
