Collaborated with the Online Communities Director to develop and launch the new Toolbox for Finance professional knowledge sharing community in December 2008 ( www.finance.toolbox.com ). This included developing a topic taxonomy that was used to create 170+ discussion groups, relevant online content, wiki, and blogs. Recruited over 50 experts and professional bloggers to create an active blogging community. Oversaw the moderation of the finance discussion groups. Worked with SEM/SEO team leaders to develop best online marketing strategies. Designed, created and published weekly community and blogger team newsletters. Developed and executed member feedback initiatives, viral marketing and promotional efforts, and sales support presentations. Maintained metrics and site analysis reports.

IVillage’s Home and Garden Channel became one of its most popular channels, where I was responsible for recruiting and managing a staff of 50+ volunteer Community Leaders and overseeing the activity of 90+ message boards and over a dozen weekly chats. I was responsible for the creation of all the channels’ message boards, scanning member contributions for appropriate content to highlight, contributing original editorial content and hosting/facilitating many live event chats with guest speakers, authors and experts. I was also responsible for publishing a weekly newsletter for the channel’s Community Leaders, taking action on all inappropriate content on the message boards and handling community members’ concerns and questions.
