As Lead Developer and eventually Co-Director of Engineering, I oversaw the development and release of site-wide projects, effectively managing 12 developers (on and offsite) and 2 graphic designers. I orchestrated a complete overhaul of their career admin site and oversaw all phases of the project from initial meetings with product teams, drafting tech specs, planning development schedules, database planning, budgeting human resources, development, beta stage, and final launch. To give you an idea of the scope, Monstertrak.com has 900,000+ active resumes in their system which are search by 600,000+ employers. More than 50,000 students visit the site daily.
Throughout my employment at MonsterTrak (owned by Monster.com), I worked on and led key projects including a modular, object-oriented emailer/UI system which was at first created for a small part of the admin site. It was so successful it was used throughout the admin and employer side of the site. I also implemented secure credit card payment system, code to assist with various marketing plans, a ‘bid-decider’ requiring synchronizing crons for colleges spread across various time zones, and a contact management system. All projects were written in Mod Perl or C, interfacing with Oracle SQL database.
