As you are aware, the medical community is in short supply of quality medical transcriptionists. I am excited to put my skills for medical terminology, language, grammar and computer operation to use in a truly necessary and worthwhile service.
I recently noticed your advertisement for a medical transcriptionist. I am quality minded and I pay close attention to details and accuracy. I am open to any specialty you may have available. I follow AAMT guidelines closely and keep my copy of the Book of Style close at hand. I have both Stedman’s and Mosby’s medical reference dictionaries, as well as a PDR for medications. I also have Stedman’s spellchecker, MS Word, cable internet connection, USB pedal, headphones and an HP laptop. I am well trained in internet research and navigation as I am currently finishing the Career Step medical transcription training course.
I have enclosed my resume and would appreciate your consideration for a position with your company. I would be more than happy to discuss my skills and abilities, as well as the requirements, for the opportunity you are offering.
PAMELA F. CAMPBELL
To secure a position as an independent contractor producing medical transcription and working from home.
I am currently attending the Career Step medical transcription program online. I currently type 60 wpm and continue to increase this speed daily. I have a natural “knack†for medical terminology, grammar, general vocabulary and punctuation which is serving me well. I am a dependable, honest and self-motivated individual with the ability to pay extra close attention to detail. I also have a working knowledge of computers and the capabilities required to proceed as a medical transcriptionist.
I graduated from Idaho in 1990. I began the Career Step medical transcription course of study in February 2009, and I plan to be finished with the program by the end of next month at the very latest.
All of my medical transcription experience is from course study and practicum.
My employment history is only in retail and customer service, as I have not currently completed medical transcription training. I have included my employment history to provide reference to my work ethics and dependability. Please feel free to contact my previous employers for reference.
