Spinning Department Shift Supervisor (5/07 – 12/08)
Transferred from the Dye House at Valdese to the Spinning Department (day shift) at the Ranlo Plant. Duties included hiring, training, and supervising of 21 employees in various departments; overseeing and maintaining equipment and its computer operated programs, as well as performing minor repairs; dealing with quality control and production issues; processing all required paperwork, reports, and documentation; and attending all meetings and educational updates. Job was eliminated because of downturn in textile business.
Dye House Manager (4/05 – 5/07)
Duties consisted of hiring, training, supervision of 13 employees, and the responsibility of all functions of the Dye House operations (night shift); dealing with production flow, efficiency, and quality control issues; checking, approving, and correcting all color / shade adjustments; adhering to all regulations, guidelines, safety, and OSHA Standards. Asked by the President of the company to transfer to the Ranlo Plant to take over the Spinning Department, strictly because of my specific style of management skills.

Wet Finishing Supervisor
Initially started work as a Supervisor with the Dye House and a year later was promoted to Wet Finishing Supervisor with responsibilities that consisted of hiring and scheduling employees for daily duties; expediting production flow; overseeing, monitoring, and approving quality control throughout the processing procedure; ordering and maintaining inventory for chemicals and supplies used in the Dye House. Business closed in 3/04.

Responsibilities included handling a variety of duties which consisted of dealing directly with customers, overseeing production, personnel, operations, and efficiency; weighing dyes, gathering chemicals for batches, setting procedures, and checking shades and quality of each batch. Business closed in 3/01.
*Accomplishments: (First tour at Ridgeview)
– During employment made one shift run more efficiently than running two full-time shifts, saving $165,000 annually.
– This company started using new equipment that I had been previously working with at Moretz Mills; trained Ridgeview employees, saving the company training time and efficiency, and resulted in a $5 0,000 per year savings.
– Designed and started an in house color match program at Moretz Hosiery in an effort to do all Color lab work on premises.

Directly responsible for reproducing customer color shades, dye samples, and establishing production formulas and procedures. Prepared all dyestuffs for production and performed all duties of supervision in the absence of the Supervisor.
