Worked temp for various government contractors, including ITT SENSOR, Lockheed Martin IS&S (Integrated Space Command and Control [ISC2] contract), Lockheed Martin IT, and Harris Technical Services Corporation at the Colorado Tracking Station (CTS) at Schriever AFB.
At LMIT designed and built four complex Access databases, including forms for data input and required reports, to support training requirements of a Government contract. Utilized desktop publishing software systems, formatted, produced, and revised complex publication materials such as technical articles, proposals, publications, books, manuals, reports, and marketing materials. Determined project requirements and presented drafts of finished product to user. Ensured high quality of output and compatibility of product with follow-on reproduction processes.
At CTS established and maintained the CTS official files in accordance with appropriate AF guidance. Maintained the CTS drawing files. Prepared inventory listings and conducted annual inventories. Conducted quality audits on time, tracked open items, and reported status monthly until deficiencies were corrected. Assigned risk levels and estimated completion dates for open items. At Raytheon was responsible for magnetic media library operations as directed by the senior librarian. Performed administrative and personnel functions in support of military personnel ranging in numbers from 27 to 350. Then later trained and supervised 7 to 15 personnel in the performance of those duties. Those duties included maintaining enlisted and officer personnel records, preparing and expediting TAD/TDY orders and travel claims, preparing and assisting in the preparation of security clearance requests and documentation, maintaining leave records, and preparing correspondence and command directives and instructions. Assisted in setting Force Protection conditions in the aftermath of 9/11. Developed a system to track personnel travel for PERSTEMPO as mandated by Congress. Organized enumerable retirement ceremonies and changes of command that required reserving all facilities, arranging refreshment service, creating and tracking invitation lists, as well as arranging escorts for participating dignitaries. Trained subordinate personnel in the use of all Microsoft Office products and various Navy and military-unique programs.
