11/05 – Present P.G. Church of Christ. Security. Self-employed. Contract my services out to individuals/companies to cover parking patrol, maintaining the peace and safety for attendees/presenters, and door security. Events include but are not limited to political and business networking fundraisers, book signings, various types of parties/galas, and gospel concerts.
Day Care facility in Landover, MD was under different management, as follows:
9/06 – 04/07 The Princeton Children’s Center. SecuritySecurity. Supervisor: Dr. McClure. Responsibility includes securing the building and parking area, setting the alarm to the facility and providing update reports every night, seven days a week.
11/05 – 9/06 P.G. Church of Christ. Security. Supervisor: Dr. McClure.
Responsibilities included protecting the staff, children and parents on the premises; monitored and kept the parking area and play area of the facility safe; answered and/or directed incoming calls or inquiries to the proper personnel; unlocked parking lot gates and secured the building before staff arrived.
12/03 – 11/05 The Sanctuary [formerly Glendale Baptist Church] (Landover, MD) Security Guard7/05 – 11/05 Responsibilities included maintaining the peace, protection and safety of Bible Babies Child Development Center personnel, children and their parents; on occasion keeping fire lanes clear and patrolling Kingdom Square’s parking areas to keep patrons and their vehicles safe.
12/03 – 7/05 Duties entailed securing and patrolling the Christian Life Center including the stores and Bible Babies Child Development Center within, parking areas and occasionally The Sanctuary (main church located at Kingdom Square) and special functions (pastoral and/or church events) on an as needed basis.
4/03 – 5/04 Initiated Internet business (http://www.fraleyenterprises.com) with spouse. Provided tips and helpful links for people wishing to start or enhance a home-based business; worked with many vendors/website visitors regarding advertising and marketing.
4/00 – 10/03 Involved in a comprehensive independent Criminal Justice degree program.
10/00 – 3/03 Very active volunteer co-facilitator in weekly Anger Management/Parenting counseling with young and old individuals and/or couples. Acquired extensive training and did research dealing with ADHD children which along with the counseling has enhanced my ability to better understand young people and deal with high-stress situations.
10/99 – 4/00 Sting Security (Temple Hills, MD) Security Guard. Responsibilities included patrolling inside Iverson Mall; teenage interaction caused me to diffuse and help redirect their energies to positive outcomes; provided immediate assistance to store owners and assisted other guards when necessary; covered shifts until reliefs arrived; and other duties as assigned.
5/97 – 1/98 Beltway Plaza (Greenbelt, MD) Lieutenant. Responsibilities included the supervision of 16 employees, hired/fired, scheduled, and trained guards for all locations to provide temporary relief/backup posts in International Mall and its Business Center (affiliate) located in Langley Park, MD and Beltway Plaza located in Greenbelt, MD; teenage interaction caused me to diffuse and help redirect their energies to positive outcomes; handled tenant requests/complaints; apprehended, barred and detained unlawful people for police processing; generated daily incident reports and other duties as assigned. Note: Chief Dean Caldwell was my superior and has since retired.
1997 Involved and completed comprehensive studies for GSA Contract Guard training and CPR training via Federal Protective Service Division.
3/96 – 12/96 Glendale Baptist Church (Landover, MD) Worked on the Security Team in a volunteer position which entailed guarding the Pastor when visiting churches as well as Glendale; patrolled the parking area before and during church services; assisted to secure church collections from each service; apprehended wrongdoers until police arrived. I was also involved in comprehensive studies to obtain my high school diploma.
4/94 – 2/96 P.G. Theaters (Andrews & Riverdale, MD) Security Guard. Responsibilities included enforcing theaters’ rules and regulations; maintained peace and safety for all; escorted theater managers to night deposits; and other duties as assigned. Note: Owner sold theaters shortly after my departure.
3/94 – 4/94 New Carrollton Mall. Security Guard. Responsibilities included maintaining the peace and safety for all; assisted other guards and/or police in apprehending violators; and other duties as assigned.
4/92 – 5/93 International Security. Sergeant. Responsibilities entailed protection for store employees/customers (Safeway/Shoppers); patrolled store(s) and parking areas for maximizing safety; assisted in the arrest and prosecution of violators.
6/78 – 3/95 Sam’s Car Wash. Part-time Wiper. Responsibilities were to clean the inside/outside of vehicles and administrative offices; supervised over ten employees; delivered supplies to other offices; handled inventory and sales of company products; and other duties as assigned.
3/92 – 9/87 Prince George’s Hotel. Supervisor. Responsibilities were to supervise support staff; clean rooms; vacuumed and buffed floors; and other duties as assigned. Note: No longer in existence.
4/86 – 9/87 International Security. Security Guard. Responsibilities entailed providing protection for contracted stores, employees, and parking areas; assisted customers; and assisted other guards as needed.
